Ramblings from 64º North

In order to be able to write about my personal life without anyone from it actually reading it, everything from my real life is Friends Only, which makes the total about 87%, give or take a little. I don't get updates for friending, so to make sure I notice that you add me, comment here to be friended. :)

Hi guys!

I just wanted to let y'all know I am still alive and I have by no means abandoned LJ or this journal. I am still waiting for my new laptop, if you just knew how annoyed I am by my father being this slow... In August I'll have had this crappy loaner laptop for a YEAR. Yes, one entire year of daily annoyance and wanting to chuck it out our third floor window. I use it as little as possible because of that, if I try using it as much as I'd like the annoyance would've resulted in a heart attack or worse a long time ago. I will be back, and I miss reading what is going on in your lives, what is going on in your various fandoms, and hearing y'alls opinions on what I have to say more than you can imagine. I miss LJ.

Hopefully it won't be too long now, and I hope you'll be patient with me a little while longer.

After a few days of relatively warm weather (around the freezing point), it is now getting pretty cold again. Time to wear my Selbu-gloves again!

Found my old camera the other day. Bahaha!

Found Luna asleep in my bed when I went down to go to sleep -- she'd gotten tired of waiting for me. See, she sleeps in my room, and, alright, she sleeps in my bed too. But only when I turn off the lights and say "come on", and never when I'm not in the room.

Re-reading Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows. Again.

'Nuff said.

Managed to slide off the road today. Ugh. It was the first time something problematic happened to me while driving, and even though I've had my license since 2005 (getting my license in the States was awesome! ;) ), I've been actively driving since New Years Eve of 2006. That's three years without anything happening, so I guess I still have reason to be proud. But still... It's annoying! What's even worse is that my speed wasn't more than 10-15km/h (6-9mph), and to say I kept my eyes on the road would be an understatement.

...and it happened only 50 meters (54.5 yards) from our house and 15-20 meters (16-21 yards) from our driveway... *facedesk*

I call thee... Frozen branch in sun!

( It was so gorgeous out today, I can't keep from posting more pictures! )

This is Øiegården, the house my grandparents own in the country side.I went there yesterday (as in January 6th) to check if the water had frozen in the pipes etc., and it looked so pretty I just had to take a picture of it. The house is about 200 years old, and it's been in the family all along. ("Øie" is the last name my family had when they settled there years and years ago, and "gården" means farm.) Oh yeah, and it's haunted! :)
